Camel Milk Panna Cotta with Dates & Pistachios

Camel Milk Panna Cotta with Dates & Pistachios

Few desserts capture elegance as effortlessly as panna cotta. Now imagine that creamy Italian indulgence but lighter, more nutritious, and infused with the rich heritage of Arabia. At Camelicious, we’ve reimagined the traditional panna cotta using camel milk, dates, and pistachios to create a dessert that’s both luxurious and wholesome.

🐪 Why Camel Milk Works Perfectly for Panna Cotta:
-Camel milk’s naturally light texture and slightly sweet flavor make it the perfect dairy base for silky desserts.
It’s:
-Lower in fat and cholesterol than cow’s milk
-Naturally rich in protein and minerals like calcium and magnesium
-Easier to digest for those sensitive to lactose
The result? A panna cotta that’s smooth, creamy, and nourishing — without feeling heavy.

🌴 Ingredients You’ll Need: (Serves 4)

For the panna cotta:
-2 cups Camelicious Camel Milk
-2 tbsp sugar or natural sweetener (optional)
-1 tsp vanilla extract
-1½ tsp gelatin powder (or agar-agar for a vegetarian version)
-2 tbsp cold water

For the topping:
-4–5 soft Medjool dates, finely chopped
-2 tbsp pistachios, crushed
-1 tbsp honey or date syrup for drizzling

🥣 Method:

1. Bloom the gelatin: In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let it sit for 5 minutes to soften.
2. Warm the camel milk: In a saucepan, gently heat Camelicious camel milk with sugar and vanilla. Stir until warm (do not boil).
3. Add gelatin: Remove from heat and stir in the softened gelatin until completely dissolved.
4. Pour & set: Pour the mixture into serving glasses or molds. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4–5 hours, or until firm.
5. Garnish & serve: Before serving, top with chopped dates, pistachios, and a drizzle of honey or date syrup.

🌸 A Taste of Arabia in Every Spoon

This dessert brings together the Italian art of simplicity and the Arabian art of flavor. The creamy base carries the light sweetness of camel milk, while the toppings of golden dates and green pistachios add warmth, color, and texture.

It’s perfect for:
-Iftar evenings during Ramadan
-Family gatherings or elegant dinners
-Or simply a sweet moment of self-care with a nutritious twist

💛 Chef’s Tip: For extra flavor, try infusing your camel milk with a pinch of cardamom or saffron while heating. It adds a fragrant Emirati touch that pairs beautifully with dates.
